    You forgot this was only possible because Gordon Ryan has the steroid strength from steroids usage. Normal Joe with regular non steroid strength would not be sweeping Josh with this technique... Unless Josh was in this match for nearly one hour and a half and Josh was extremely worn out and fatigued and tired....

    • @MMALeech
      @MMALeech 14 дней назад

      Head positioning will vary on the near or far shoulder according to what you are looking for, and it will lead you to different paths. It is also dependent on whether you are using an underhook or overhook. You can't have your head on the far shoulder if you are using an overhook for example. Here's a video of some pros and cons of both: ruclips.net/video/fBPXE_Eobi4/видео.htmlsi=P4xdsZ6A5W4CFcHv

    This was way too reasonable and fair. :) Thanks, I liked this a lot. The way I see it, both BJJ and GJJ can be helpful in a fight and more importantly, gives us confidence. But at the end of the day, most of us won't be using this is in a fight and the friends we make and community we build in our JJ school is way more important. If we end up in a street fight, JJ will just be one tool in a our toolbox, the other tools being our crew, maybe our gun or knife, and maybe our boxing/MT/wrestling. If we are on concrete somewhere fighting off our back, we are having a really bad day, even if we get the sweep or submission.

    When he locked his hands, what was he hoping to accomplish? It seemed like he just let a perfect position get dismantled. What was he going for when he locked one arm down. Not a blood choke, not an air choke, not an arm bar, not a chicken wing.

    • @MMALeech
      @MMALeech Месяц назад

      I think he was looking for added control of Jay Rod's top shoulder, trying to glue his chest to his back, since Jay Rod was facing down also killing the angle of a possible choke

    Can you explain what you mean by "figuring four"? Like was he trying to put his legs in a figure 4 shape? Or is that completely the wrong interpretation?

    • @Joyceages
      @Joyceages Месяц назад

      @yapperinos A figure four for example would be if you to take your right leg, rotate it so your foot is facing your left leg and then tuck it under your left leg’s knee. Mikey did not tuck it under and instead drove his right knee to his left foot in order to create the pressure.

    • @MMALeech

    • @Yapperinos
      @Yapperinos Месяц назад
